When at Siddhalepa ANARVA Mount Lavinia we do our best to offer you a series of journeys and excursions in Colombo that represents the country at its best. One has the ease of embarking on shopping tours to the capital, before calling by religious shrines that have stood the test of time to offer a silent word of prayer, invoking the blessings of the gods. Some of the more important occasions in Colombo worth attending would be the Gangarama Perahera in February and the Bellanwila Esala Perahera; processions firmly rooted in ancient belief and practice.

ESALA PERAHERA KANDY : The Kandy Esala Perahera is one of the oldest of all Buddhist festivals in Sri Lanka, featuring dancers, traditional drummers, musicians, fire-dances, and  decorated elephants. This is held in Esala month (July or August) every year.
