Siddhalepa Kekulu Preschool…..

With the objective of encouraging our children to display their inborn talents and develop their creative capacities, Siddhalepa has been successfully conducting the Kekulu Preschool Art Competition since 2012 island-wide.

Kekulu is the brand name for children that have gained popularity over the last two decades. It is now available in four varieties: AloeVera,Jasmine, Arudha and Hibiscus. Other popular Kekulu toiletries for children now in the market are kekulu ayurveda cologne, ayurveda toothpaste and kekulu toothbrushes –all of which children have begun to cherish.

This year’s kekulu preschool art competition covered 25 districts and culminated in 25 prize awarding ceremonies with the objective of promoting the future well-being of our children.

A staggering total of 191215 drawings by the children of 6972 preschools have been submitted as follows:

From among the winners at district level 100 all-island winners were selected and they were awarded prizes at a national event on February 14, 2016 presided over by His Excellency the President, Maithripala Sirisena, Hon.Faizer Musthafa and Hettigoda Group Chairman Deshabandu Dr Victor Hettigoda at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

The all-island winners selected by renowned author and artist Sybil Wettasinghe are:

Second Place: L.M.Minidu Lisansa (Sri Saddhatissa Preschool)
Third Place: H. M. Kalindu Dineth Amayuru (Le Peite Favour Preschool)
